Increases in the local crime rates are often the result of a lack of opportunity for people in the area. Past incumbents have boasted of having brought $15.5B of funding into the 13th district. This would have amounted to over $21,000.00 per resident in the district, yet the community continues to see a decline in education, infrastructure, and opportunity. Caesar Gonzales is calling for accountability, oversight, and transparency in where the funds actually went.

Only 2.8% of the laborers in the 13th District are skilled workers. Investing in training our residents affords our community opportunities to obtain higher-wage jobs within the district. This leads to a rise in incomes as well as improvements in quality of life.

Year after year, dozens of highway projects, neighborhoods, and building projects remain incomplete. Our communities have continued to decline with little more than excuses coming from office. However, Caesar Gonzales is present and passionate about improving living conditions for 13th District residents. 

The culture of corruption in our government is particularly oppressing the people in the urban community. Billions of federal dollars have made it to the Metro-Atlanta area to address issues such as homelessness and affordable housing but not a dime has been spent on either, while local government officials become wealthier.
